The Cape Fear Public Transportation Authority (Wave Transit) Board of Directors voted to approve a five-year transit service management contract to Transdev North America in June. Transdev began efforts this summer overseeing Wave Transit’s fixed route system, which includes 21 fixed route buses, two trolleys and 15 shuttles. It’s a partnership Transdev says it is excited to be a part of.

Adding to our footprint in the area helps us contribute to the area’s growth by providing safe and efficient transportation to our customers,” said Justin Augustine, Northeast regional vice president, Transdev U.S. “We look forward to becoming an integral member of the local community.”
As part of its management contract, Transdev is responsible for operations and maintenance oversight.

Pairing them with expert, local talent, including the existing, maintenance leadership, who have in depth knowledge of the service, is a recipe for success.”
