ITT Inc.’s Veam brand will showcase its sophisticated product range and engineering capabilities for global rail customers at InnoTrans 2016, hall 9, stand 406, in Berlin, September 20-23.
At the show, the world’s largest international trade fair for transport technology, ITT will offer highly engineered power and high-speed data interconnect technologies, as well as ruggedized, harsh environment platings. The company will also highlight its highly respected custom engineering capabilities, capable of addressing the specific and evolving needs of rail customers operating globally.
“Decades of innovative engineering in railway technology have helped us develop a unique perspective on the needs and challenges of rail customers, and a global footprint to serve them,” said Gary Ashurst, vice president and general manager of ITT’s Interconnect Solutions Transportation and Industrial business. “At InnoTrans we will demonstrate how we’re continuing to advance industry standards with respect to customization, high-speed data and environmental sustainability for rail.”
Among the specific products ITT Veam will showcase at InnoTrans 2016 are the following:
- CIR M12 Data Connectors – The CIR M12 series delivers reliable high-speed data connections in the harshest environments. Based on increased customer demand for data grouping, the CIR M12 bundles multiple lines in the same connector. The connectors are available in 1-or 4-way configurations and 2, 4 or 8-pole contact configurations, all while maintaining channel performance up to Class FA ISO/IEC(to support Ethernet up to 10 Gbps and above) and meeting IP67 standards.
- Power Plate Connectors – Extremely compact with fast and simple mating and un-mating, Power Plates are a high power, fully customizable solution for rail applications such as bogies, traction motors, energy storage and converters.
- Blue Generation Plating – The RoHS and REACH-compliant zinc-nickel alloy offers extreme durability for harsh environment interconnects, while providing superior conductivity and shielding performance. The innovative plating provides resistance to up to 500 hours of salt spray and withstands temperatures from -55°C to +125°C.
