Founded in 2013, The Commuter Action Group is a grassroots organization dedicated to empowering rail commuters on Metro-North to improve service by giving them a voice before the railroad, the CT Dept of Transportation and state and federal lawmakers.
The Commuter Action Group was created by Jim Cameron after 19 years serving on the CT Metro-North Rail Commuter Council after meeting with hundreds of commuters to hear their concerns and ideas. The group has no dues or fees.
The Commuter Action Group is hailing the announcement by Governor Malloy in support of new funding sources for the state’s Special Transportation Fund.
