A new look for Transit Unplugged (TU) will be revealed at the Trapeze/Vontas booth at APTA EXPO on Nov. 9.
To celebrate the fourth anniversary of Transit Unplugged, Trapeze Group is bringing a full schedule of TU events. This includes a live panel with female transit leaders, an intimate cocktail reception with host Paul Comfort and the launch of Transit Unplugged TV, a video podcast program of Transit Unplugged.
To mark the fourth anniversary and kick off season five, Transit Unplugged is getting an updated logo and branding, a revamped website and will enter new territory with the launch of Transit Unplugged TV. Transit Unplugged TV is a travel style program that will showcase transit systems and their leaders while enjoying their local cuisine and culture.
The logo, branding, updated website and Transit Unplugged TV will launch Nov. 9 at APTA EXPO at the Trapeze/Vontas booth (Booth #353) during a special Transit Unplugged live "Women in Transit” panel and fourth anniversary celebration called “Cocktails with Comfort.”
Inspired by the recent Transit Unplugged episode, “Four Inspiring Women Leading the Way in Australia,” Paul Comfort will interview a panel of women who are leading some of the biggest and most innovative transit agencies in the U.S. These five leaders will reflect on their career journeys, advice for others and their vision for the future of transit. During this exclusive live interview, listeners will hear from:
- Nadine Lee (CEO, Dallas Area Rapid Transit)
- Leslie Richards (CEO, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority)
- Lauren Skiver (CEO, SunLine Transit)
- MJ Maynard (CEO, Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada)
- Bacarra Mauldin (chief of staff, Memphis Area Transit Authority)
The panel will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 9, at the Trapeze/Vontas booth on the show floor. Just prior to the roundtable event, Comfort will reveal the new Transit Unplugged logo and website.
During Cocktails with Comfort, Comfort will give a sneak peek of the first episodes of Transit Unplugged TV. Cocktails with Comfort will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 9, at the Trapeze/Vontas booth. All are invited to both events.
