The Siemens Velaro high-speed train is a multiple-unit trainset: the traction system is distributed over the entire train and all traction components are arranged underfloor. The entire length of up to 400 meters above the floor is available for use without space being taken up by a power car, providing maximum room for passengers. Key features include tested vehicle design with a high level of customization; variable configuration concept of 7-, 8-, 10-, 12- and 16-car; and variable passenger capacities and interior furnishings.
Velaro TR was built for the Turkish State Railways (TCDD). With a top speed of more than 186 mph, the Velaro Türkiye is all about sustainable travel, with optimized aerodynamics and electric brakes that feed brake energy back into the network.
There are three classes of travel: Economy Class, First Class or Business Class. There’s also an on-board bistro and restaurant area. For effective use of travel time, a spacious conference compartment with practical working surfaces gives business travelers privacy to focus on work while en route.
