Cecil Transit takes a leap forward next week when it starts a Newark, Del., to Elkton route and expands the mid-county route that began on a limited basis in early 2014.
The expanded service in both areas begins Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 6 a.m. and will run until about 9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
“We're all very excited about this, although it's starting later than we had hoped,” Director of Senior Services and Community Transit David Trolio said.
The Mid-County Connection, which began last year with three loops a day, will go to eight loops a day starting Jan. 20.
