Starting March 5, there are three brand new Trimet bus lines up and running.
The 74 line will run north and south on Southeast 162nd from Powell to Airport way. The second is on the westside, the 42 line will go between Tigard, Washington Square, and the Beaverton Transit Center. A third new line will also service parts of Gresham. TriMet says the goal is to cut down on congestion and to make traveling easier for riders.
Officials are holding two ribbon cutting ceremonies this morning to commemorate the openings.
