Paratransit service use has almost doubled since 2011, according to Bullhead Area Transit Service officials.
In 2011, the last year major service changes were made to the system and an informal benchmark for the program, paratransit service provided 6,000 rides to area residents.
From January to June 30 this year, the paratransit service has provided about 5,000 rides and the numbers are continuing to climb.
