    A partnership between two local transit organizations will give riders the opportunity to travel directly between downtown Mishawaka and downtown Elkhart beginning later this month.

    The South Bend Public Transportation Corp. (Transpo) and the Interurban Trolley announced Wednesday the launch of a new bus route between downtown Mishawaka and Elkhart.

    The new “Yellow Line Mishawaka/Elkhart” will begin operation on Aug. 20, and will take riders directly from the Interurban Trolley’s Transfer Center in downtown Elkhart to Transpo’s Mishawaka Transfer Center in downtown Mishawaka.
