Dawn Distler started her transportation career as a bus driver with Metro Regional Transit Authority in Akron.
Now, she’s returning to the agency as its executive director.
The Metro RTA board announced Monday that it has hired Distler, 56, the transit director at Knoxville Area Transit in Knoxville, Tenn., for the position. She is expected to start Sept. 24.
