    Valley Metro offers additional paratransit services in response to COVID-19

    Valley Metro is now providing single rider trips on its paratransit services as an added precaution to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

    Valley Metro says its paratransit service is taking every precaution to assure the safety of customers and employees. To help eliminate the spread of COVID-19, the agency is asking riders to help by wearing a protective cloth face covering when riding paratransit.

    Valley Metro is also now requiring RideChoice customers choosing Uber as their mode of transportation to wear face coverings. This aligns with Uber’s new policy where Uber drivers are also required to wear a face covering. Drivers have been instructed to deny transport to customers that are not wearing a face covering.

    Valley Metro is providing additional services to help during the COVID-19 pandemic. To help limit interaction between paratransit drivers and passengers, Valley Metro is providing a delivery service for meals, pharmacy and groceries when possible to paratransit certified customers. 

    If customers receive meals from locations such as a senior center, community center or senior congregate meal site and Valley Metro would pick the customer up for the meal, they may have their meals delivered to them. This service is available through Valley Metro Paratransit by calling (602)716-2200 and requesting meal delivery. Reminder, not all areas are served by Valley Metro Paratransit. Before calling paratransit, please confirm meals are available at the requested facility. After scheduling a meal delivery with paratransit, communicate to the provider a paratransit driver will be picking up the meal.

    Valley Metro Paratransit is offering this same delivery service for certain prescriptions or medical supplies and is offering grocery delivery as well.  

     Prescription and medical supplies must be ordered and paid for in advance of scheduling the pick-up. Make sure you have the following information for the reservationist to properly fulfill your delivery
