TN: The TMA Group Announces New Officers
The TMA Group (Transportation Management Association) has unanimously elected the following individuals to serve as Officers of the 2014-16 TMA Board of Directors, effective July 1: Chairman Patrick G Emery: Spectrum | Emery, Inc.; Vice-Chair: Rogers Anderson, Williamson County mayor; Secretary: Bill Lockwood: Barge Waggoner Sumner and Cannon; Treasurer: Mark Robbins: The Franklin Chop House; and Immediate Past Chair: Julian L. Bibb, Stites & Harbison PLLC.
Emery states, “I am honored to follow Julian Bibb as chairman of the board of The TMA Group. Having been actively involved in the organization for almost 20 years, it is a privilege to serve as its chairman. The TMA Group is moving our region forward in implementing and expanding innovative alternative transportation solutions. The time is now for leaders to support affordable transportation options for the sustainable economic and environmental future of our region.”
Emery is currently the president of Spectrum | Emery, a full service commercial real estate company formed in 2010 as a joint venture with Spectrum Properties to develop, market and manage class A office in Middle Tennessee. Spectrum | Emery now manages more than 1.5 million square feet of class A office space in Cool Springs while spearheading the future of the region with projects such as Franklin Park and the Nashville Convention Center redevelopment. Committed to sustainable development and smart growth principles, all new Spectrum | Emery developments are LEED certified. Emery is a member of the Urban Land Institute, Partnership 2020 and a founding member of the Williamson County Chamber. Emery served in the U.S. Army. After receiving an honorable discharge he continued his studies at the University of Oklahoma.
Vice-Chairman Rogers Anderson is currently serving his third term as Williamson County mayor; he serves on local, state, and regional boards. Secretary Bill Lockwood is a vice president with Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon Inc. and a registered landscape architect. Treasurer Mark Robbins is successful restaurateur, currently owner of The Franklin Chop House and Hickory Falls Restaurant (Smyrna); he a local engaged business leader having served on the Williamson County Chamber Board.
