The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) has announced four finalists for its CDTA & Me storytelling initiative.
Customers were invited to tell their CDTA story online, at Capital Region summer events and through social media channels. The finalists’ stories will be voted on through September 6, 2014 to determine the top storyteller.
Nearly 1,000 riders have shared stories, telling tales of newfound mobility, connecting with family and getting acclimated as new Capital Region residents. The finalists represent a cross section of the region, its diverse set of riders and the growing customer base of public transit.
Meet The Finalists:
- Andrew Soper (Gansevoort) – His story is a special one that covers childbirth, an unexpected incident and CDTA saving the day.
- Colin Klepetar (Saratoga Springs) – This educator made it his own personal project to show his students about sustainability but little did he know that he would be the one who learned the lesson.
- Leif Zurmuhlen (Schenectady) – This rider lost his automobile and never needed to go back to the car because of the benefits CDTA has provided for his family.
- Erin Sheehan (Albany) – This rider make a conscious choice to “Dump The Pump” and couldn’t be happier.
