MTA TV Show Wins Prince George's County 2014 Community Access Magic Award
The Maryland Transit Administration’s (MTA) monthly public affairs television program wins the 2014 Community Access Magic (CAM) Award of Prince George’s County, Maryland for achievement in community television.
“Commuter Connections,” MTA’s television show, received the award in the Public Affairs Category at the 15th Annual CAM Awards presentation held at the Newton White Mansion in Mitchellville, Md. Oct. 30. The annual event recognizes community and government television excellence.
“Our public affairs television program lets us extend our reach while informing the general public of our services and programs,” said MTA Administrator Robert Smith. “The CAM Award is a reflection of the dedication of our employees and I am very proud of this achievement.”
The award marks the second time Commuter Connections has won the CAM Award in the Public Affairs Category. The show also won the award in 2007. Commuter Connections can be seen on cable television stations throughout Maryland.
