DCTA Announces Nicole Recker as New Vice President of Marketing and Communications
The Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) announced Jan. 7 the appointment of Nicole Recker as the agency’s new vice president of marketing and communications. In this position, Recker will plan, direct, manage and oversee DCTA’s marketing, communications, public relations and customer services activities. She will also serve as agency spokeswoman.
“We’re excited to welcome Nicole to the DCTA leadership team, and feel strongly that she’ll be a tremendous asset to the agency,” said Jim Cline, president of DCTA. “Her vast experience and leadership in marketing and communications will help us manage and grow our brand, increase ridership and strengthen our relationships with passengers, communities and business partners.”
Recker previously served as the senior marketing manager for Greyhound Lines Inc., in which she managed all new brand development, brand management, program execution, digital and print campaign development and implementation, digital marketing initiatives, guerrilla marketing, and event planning.
During her tenure at Greyhound, Recker developed strategic marketing plans, business plans and budgets for Greyhound, Greyhound Express, Greyhound Connect, Greyhound Lucky Streak, Greyhound Package Express, BoltBus and YO! Bus. She also managed and formed relationships with creative agencies, operations partners, vendors, and other business entities.
Prior to the Greyhound, Recker served in multiple marketing communications roles at the city of Farmers Branch, Harris Methodist HEB Hospital, as well as operating her own communications agency serving clients such as the HEB Chamber of Commerce, Millionaire Blueprints (national Time Warner magazine), Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital, MedSynergies, and Ridgmar Mall.
Recker holds a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from Texas A&M University.
