IndyGo Partners with Indiana Pacers
IndyGo has secured a new sponsorship with the Indiana Pacers. The partnership includes cross-promotion between the Pacers and IndyGo including four fully-illustrated 60-foot articulated buses, featuring Pacers artwork.
To tip off the partnership, the Pacers have sponsored free rides on IndyGo for Wednesday morning, February 4, from 6 to 9 a.m. Pacers mascot Boomer and other Pacers personalities will board the four newly wrapped buses at various points around town and give away Pacers swag to commuters headed downtown.
"IndyGo was pleased to see the Pacers express interest in transit," said Mike Terry, president and CEO for IndyGo. "Our transit advertising program provides a unique opportunity to deliver a message in the Indianapolis market." The sponsorship brings positive attention to the transit system and leverages some of IndyGo's newer 60-foot articulated buses for advertising for the first time.
"Partnering with IndyGo presents a great opportunity to connect with all central Indiana residents. It is especially important for us to support the nearly 100,000 hospitality workers in our community, many of whom count on this viable transportation mode to get to and from work every day," said Rick Fuson, president and COO of Pacers Sports & Entertainment. The four wrapped buses will be on the street for the remainder of the 2014-15 season.
In addition to bus advertising and the on-board promotion, the Pacers are also providing home game tickets for IndyGo passengers to enter and win.
