Via Metropolitan Transit and the city of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department have teamed up to celebrate the art works of senior citizens from across the city. This exhibit went on display at the beginning of February in the lobby of The Grand at Via Villa, also known as the Westside Multimodal Transit Center, and it will remain on display until the end of the month.
This exhibit is part of the City’s Bravo for ArtAbility, Never too Old to Create program to celebrate the artistic talents of San Antonio senior citizens through paintings, drawings, photographs, jewelry, pottery, ceramics, sculpture, and crafts. The program features a traveling exhibit, which is now on display in The Grand at 123 North Medina Street. A reception for the artists in the program was held Feb. 16.
“We are proud to be a part of the Bravo for ArtAbility traveling art exhibit,” said VIA President/CEO Jeffrey Arndt. “Our partnership with the Parks and Recreation Department is just one of many ways that VIA has forged connections with the art community, and we welcome any opportunity to help showcase the talents of local citizens.”
