Dewberry announced the promotion of Craig Johnson, PE, to president. He will now be in charge of Dewberry’s Northeast operations, which includes 500+ professionals in multiple offices. In addition to being responsible for general coordination and management across the Northeast, he will maintain his regional leadership duties for Dewberry’s transportation service line and alternative delivery services. Johnson sits in the firm’s Bloomfield, New Jersey, office.
With more than 33 years with Dewberry, Johnson’s extensive engineering experience includes high-profile and complex highway and transportation projects, such as New Jersey Department of Transportation’s $900-million Direct Connection.
“We could not have found a more dedicated and qualified candidate to lead our Northeast operations than Craig,” said Donald E. Stone, Jr., PE, Dewberry chief executive officer. “Craig has spent his career with Dewberry, and through his passion and drive for making communities better, he makes every project that he’s involved with outstanding.”
“I’m very excited to be taking on this new role with Dewberry,” said Johnson. “I look forward to continuing Dewberry’s excellent reputation for client-focus and engineering and consulting excellence and expanding Dewberry’s footprint in the Northeast.”
Johnson earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Lafayette College. He is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers, the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey, and the Design-Build Institute of America.
