TheRide Board of Directors to Interview CEO Candidates

March 4, 2015

The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide) CEO Search Committee has recommended three final candidates for the position of chief executive officer. The candidates will be interviewed at a special board of directors meeting at TheRide’s main office on March 11.  Prior to the board meeting, the public is invited to participate in a meet and greet drop-in session with the candidates.

The CEO search process began in November, with the hiring of Harris Rand Lusk (HRL), an executive search firm that specializes in the public transportation field.  HRL screened more than 70 applicants and recommended 14 candidates for consideration by the CEO Search Committee.  The committee, consisting of eight members, is headed by AAATA Board Chair Charles Griffith.  The committee initially selected four of the screened applicants for confidential interviews of which three finalists were recommended to participate in a second interview with the full board of directors on March 11.  The names and background of the three finalists will be made available to the public on agency's website following the candidates’ acceptance to participate in the public interview process.
