Stantec’s Grossenbacher Assumes Local Leadership Roles with Company and WTS
Christina Grossenbacher recently assumed new leadership roles within Stantec and the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) San Francisco Bay Area chapter. With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Grossenbacher was simultaneously named principal in Stantec’s transportation practice group and vice president for the local WTS chapter.
In her new responsibilities at Stantec, Grossenbacher will serve as the business center managing leader for the transportation group based in Walnut Creek. The group includes 25 Stantec employees and is involved in projects across North America.
A member of Stantec’s transportation practice since 2000, Grossenbacher’s professional focus is on project management, systems analysis, and commissioning for transit agencies. For the past eight years, she has provided commissioning and systems integration services for the South and North Light Rail Transit Extension Projects in Edmonton, Alberta. Additional projects have involved work for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, and Caltrain.

And her involvement with WTS shows a commitment to an important organization locally and globally.”
In her WTS role, Grossenbacher begins a tw0-year term as the chapter’s vice president. She will assist the board in implementing strategic goals and interact with WTS International, which is dedicated to building the future of transportation through the global advancement of women. WTS has nearly 300 members in the Bay Area and Grossenbacher has been an active board member for seven years.
Grossenbacher received her bachelor’s degree from California State University, Hayward. A resident of Richmond, she is both a registered Project Management Professional and an Envision Sustainability Professional.
