Guy Vachon Joins MCI as Vice President Aftermarket Sales
Guy Vachon, a leading talent in bus and truck aftermarket parts, has joined MCI as vice president of aftermarket sales. In this position, Vachon will be responsible for MCI Service Parts’ PSM (regional parts solutions managers) field representation, and will also oversee the management of large national accounts and the strategic direction of the customer service support team. Vachon, who reports to Wolfgang Winzer, MCI vice president and general manager of aftermarket, will be based at MCI headquarters in Des Plaines, Illinois.
At the same time, Jim Stibgen becomes director of customer service and continues to manage the customer service support teams including the call center at MCI Service Parts in Louisville, Kentucky. He reports to Vachon and will support him in the management of key accounts.
Vachon formerly held several sales, marketing and strategic planning leadership positions in the commercial vehicle industry. Prior to joining MCI, Vachon was director of aftermarket sales and service with Morgan Olson. He also was general manager of the Daimler-owned SelecTrucks Center in Chicago, and also held leadership positions with Navistar, Hendrickson, and Federal-Mogul.
“Guy brings the right depth of experience to achieve the market goals we’ve set for 2015 and beyond,” said Winzer. “These moves reinforce the strong position MCI Service Parts has achieved in the last several quarters, including increasing our fulfillment rates and inventory availability.”
MCI Service Parts is additionally upgrading its call-center software to increase efficiency and is making improvements to its online parts store for faster service and easier access to parts and related services.
