Shawn M. Donaghy has been appointed vice president of operations and Maintenance of the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T) to direct and coordinate The T’s day-to-day Bus Operations, Mobility Impaired Services (MITS), Maintenance and Security functions. He will report to The T’s President Paul Ballard.
Donaghy had most recently been interim chief operations officer of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) Metro in Cincinnati, Ohio where he was responsible for transit operations, maintenance and Paratransit that included more than 700 bus operators and management personnel who delivered 17.5 million passenger trips a year. He also provided oversight with the Cincinnati Streetcar project in operations, safety, maintenance and governance.
He was responsible for the implementation of SORTA’s short and long term transit plans, including operational efficiencies.
Donaghy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership with a minor in Communications from Northern Kentucky University.
He served on maintenance and operations committees of the Ohio Public Transportation Association and was a member of SORTA Metro’s Diversity Council. He also was selected to serve on the Cincinnati Mayor’s Parts Transportation Council to advocate, improve and sustain Public and Private Transportation Growth within the city.
