Santa Ynez Valley Transit (SYVT) is introducing a new $4.00 all-day Saturday pass to make it more affordable and convenient to travel to and from popular destinations in Santa Ynez, Los Olivos, Buellton, and Solvang. The Saturday pass debuts Aug. 1. The pass allows residents, tourists, and employees to “hop on” and “hop off” SYVT’s fixed-route buses all day as they travel among wineries, museums, restaurants, parks, medical facilities, and other Santa Ynez Valley locations.
Individual rides aboard SYVT’s fixed-route service cost $1.50. Children under 5 ride free with a fare-paying adult. The Saturday pass can be purchased on the bus and used from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The pass is also being promoted to visitors of area wineries. Riding public transit is a responsible way for guests to enjoy the wine tastings without having to drive home.
The SYVT service also connects local customers to the new Clean Air Express Saturday service to and from Santa Barbara, which will operate one round trip in the morning and one in the afternoon. The new Clean Air Express Saturday service started July 11. It costs $7.00 per person each way (children under 2 ride free).
