SouthWest Transit announced the kick-off of its new local service, SouthWest Prime, to the city of Chaska on Aug. 3.
The Prime is a modern day demand response/dial-a-ride service in which you may request a ride through our website, phone app, or over the phone. Simply indicate the location from which you want to be picked up and where you want to go within the Chaska city limits and a ride will take you there.
“We have received positive feedback about the Eden Prairie Prime, which we rolled out earlier this summer, and we know this convenient point-to-point service will greatly benefit the city of Chaska as well,” said SouthWest CEO Len Simich, “in celebration, we are offering free trial rides on the Chaska Prime for the first week the service is operational.” Free rides will be available from August 3rd –August 7th.
The Prime will operate Monday – Thursday 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. and on Fridays 6:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.. Cost is $3 per ride, $2 for children between 6 and 12 (accompanied by a paying adult), and transfers to and from the SouthWest Express buses is $1. Children under 5 ride free with a paying adult.
