CATA Service Changes Effective Aug. 31

As students prepare to return to class, CATA will implement route changes Aug. 31. Spartan Service — the additional service provided during MSU fall and spring semesters — also resumes on Routes 1, 23 25, 26 and Entertainment Express.

Routes Serving Downtown Lansing

Route 2 S. Washington – Pleasant Grove

Monday – Friday: time adjustments have been made to both outbound and inbound trips, including Capitol Loop trips.
Route 6 Cedar – Jolly Connection

The route will travel further west on Jolly to Washington.
Service east of the Community Mental Health building will be upon request.
New timepoint at the Salvation Army located at Jolly & Washington.
Route 7 Aurelius

Departure times have been adjusted for most outbound and some inbound timepoints.
Route 8 Pennsylvania – Holt

Monday – Friday: minor time adjustments have been made to some outbound and most inbound timepoints.
Route 9 South Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. – Miller

Monday-Friday: five evening trips have been added as the frequency increases to every 25 minutes after 5:15pm.
Monday-Friday: time changes have been made to inbound trips.
Route 10 North Lansing – Turner

Monday – Friday: minor time adjustments have been made to timepoints at Gier & North East and Grand River & Pennsylvania.
Route 11 Waverly – Colonial Village

Capitol Loop routing has been eliminated.
Outbound buses will only travel as far east as Boston Blvd in the southern portion of the route.
Minor time adjustments have been made to both outbound and inbound timepoints.
Route 12 W. Michigan – Waverly – LCC West

LCC West Service: time adjustments have been made to both outbound and inbound trips.
Route 13 Groesbeck Area

Time adjustments have been made to both outbound and inbound timepoints, including Capitol Loop trips.
Route 15 Kalamazoo – Frandor

Time adjustments have been made to both outbound and inbound timepoints.
Route 16 Old Town – W. Lake Lansing Rd. – Eastwood NEW NAME

Buses will no longer loop around Lake Lansing Meijer via Abbey and Marfitt.
Between Grand River and Shiawassee, buses will travel a different route which will include service to Old Town.

Routes Serving East Lansing, Haslett and Okemos

Route 25 North Harrison

Monday - Friday: time adjustments have been made to both outbound and inbound timepoints at Harrison & Michigan and Coleman & Chandler.
Route 26 Abbot – Chandler

Monday - Thursday Spartan Service: minor time adjustments have been made to the mid-morning through noon trips.
Route 31 South & East Neighborhoods

Frequency of buses will fluctuate between 15 and 20 minutes from 7pm until midnight.
Route 39 University Village – Spartan Village

Time adjustments will occur at University Village on inbound trips.
