The Greater Dayton RTA welcomed aboard Jessica Heffner as the company’s new marketing manager, effective Sept. 14.
Heffner most recently worked as a reporter for News Center 7 and the Dayton Daily News. As an all-media journalist for the past four years, she provided local news coverage for print and broadcast, as well as through social media and digital products. In the past eight years with Cox Media Group, parent company of News Center 7, she’s held various roles, including as a copy editor and business reporter. Previous to Cox Media, she worked for the YMCA of Greater Dayton.
The RTA provides a valuable and marketable service, Heffner said, and she wants to help the company share that message.
“The RTA serves an important role in the Miami Valley, connecting its citizens to jobs and other vital services,” Heffner said. “This public transit system is one of the cleanest, safest operations in Ohio and is poised well to capitalize on the growing interest in travel alternatives. I’m excited to be a part of the RTA team and look forward to my new role working with the public.”
Heffner will work at the Wright Stop Plaza.
