Broward County Transit Bus Wrapped with Smiling Customers
In honor of Broward County's centennial, Broward County Transit (BCT) created a moving billboard featuring black and white photo portraits of its smiling customers. A bus advertisement covering an entire bus - called a wrap - of 14 real BCT riders, accompanied by the slogan, This is My Ride, is now on bus No. 1409 which usually travels on Route No. 2 on University Drive. The wrap is part of Broward 100's Inside Out photography project, which consist of black-and-white photos that are printed and posted throughout the County.
BCT aimed to capture a collective positive message through the photos of its smiling customers in tune with Broward's Inside Out project, based on an international photography initiative created by Parisian street artist JR.
BCT asked customers to participate in its bus wrap project and nearly two dozen said yes. These customers ride BCT buses daily to travel to work, school and medical appointments. 14 customers are now prominently featured on BCT bus No. 1409 where they will remain for a year in celebration of Broward's 100th Anniversary.
