From Oct. 19-Oct. 24, Pikes Peak Community College (PPCC) students will be able to ride Mountain Metropolitan Transit fixed-route buses for free.
PPCC and Mountain Metro have teamed up to provide students free public transportation to introduce newcomers to the local bus system and highlight how affordable, convenient and sustainable taking the bus can be. Numerous outings have been prearranged through the PPCC Office of Sustainability more information can be found on their web site.
“This is a great way for Mountain Metro and PPCC to highlight local bus service to one of our community’s most significant resources, Pikes Peak Community College”, commented Craig Blewitt, director Mountain Metropolitan Transit. “We hope this event will culminate in more PPCC students accessing their local bus system to get to school, downtown, shopping and local attractions using a more economical, sustainable form of transportation.”
