Dayton RTA To Transport Heads of State for the 2015 Dayton Peace Accords at 20 Event

Nov. 16, 2015

The Greater Dayton RTA is pleased to extend the same first-class service it offers to passengers every day to worldwide heads of state during the November 18-21 Dayton Peace Accords’ 20th Anniversary Celebration.

Current and former world leaders will be participating in a full range of activities during the four-day conference. The event commemorates the end of the Bosnia-Herzegovina War, and is a celebration of the role that Dayton played as the host to the event in 1995.

As an All-Event Sponsor, RTA is thrilled to be providing transportation to distinguished guests of the Dayton Peace Accords at 20, and will ensure their safe and timely delivery to luncheons, conferences, and meetings. Attendees include foreign affairs ministers, mayors, and ambassadors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Serbia as well as local dignitaries.  Former U.S. President Bill Clinton is the keynote speaker for the Thursday luncheon.

“This is our chance to help roll out the red carpet for the world and show off our unique public transportation system,” said RTA Chief Executive Officer Mark Donaghy.  “We’re proud of our people and the good work they do day in and day out to transport our citizens wherever they need to go.”

“It’s not every day we welcome world leaders onto our fleet,” Donaghy said.  “But I like to think we treat all of our passengers as the most important people in our world.”
