CATA Welcomes Pardee to Board of Directors
The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) welcomed Dr. Wendy Pardee to its Board of Directors as the newly-appointed Patton Township representative.
Pardee is the chief executive officer for Skills of Central PA, a large multi-county provider of intellectual disability and behavioral health services. Prior to this position, she served as the chief financial officer for the Community Guidance Center, a behavioral healthcare provider in Indiana, Pennsylvania. Along with over 15 years in the human service sector, Pardee has degrees in accounting and management of information systems, a Masters in Business Administration, and a Doctorate in Administration and Leadership Studies. She has served on community health councils, local YMCA boards, community daycare boards, and the Rehabilitation and Community Providers Association board.
Pardee currently resides with her husband and daughter in Patton Township. She enjoys taking the CATA shuttle to the Penn State Football games and is an avid fan. In her spare time, she takes advantage of the numerous hiking and biking trails throughout Centre County.
Pardee was appointed by the Township to the CATA Board of Directors to complete the term of Board Member Tom Kurtz, and will be eligible for appointment to a five-year term in January.
“I am certain that I can speak for the entire CATA organization when I say that we are truly excited to have Dr. Pardee join our Board,” states Louwana Oliva, CATA general manager. “Dr. Pardee brings with her expertise that will further strengthen the organization and enhance the services provided by the Authority to its riders and the community.”
