Scott Gretsch Killed in Hunting Accident
It is with great sadness that MPTA announced Scott Gretsch was killed in a hunting accident Dec. 17. He worked as a director of community bus sales for Hoglund Bus and Truck Co. and had been with the company for over 20 years.
MPTA all appreciated Gretsch enthusiasm and his participation in MPTA events including the annual Public Transit Conference. He will be greatly missed.
MPTA sends condolences and our thoughts go out to Gretsch's family and his colleagues at Hoglund at this incredibly difficult time.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 23, at Becker Baptist Church in Becker, Minnesota. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 22 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Becker and one hour prior to services at the church on Dec. 23.
Gretsch is survived by his wife, Stephanie of Becker; children, Kaitlyn of Bemidji, Sara of Bemidji and Ben of Becker; parents, JoAnne of Wayzata, Ronald of Litchfield; mother-in-law, Colleen Weiss of Nevis; and sister, Jennifer (Andrew) Hutchins of Maple Grove; and grandpa, Walter Beckers of St. Cloud. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and father-in-law, Tom Weiss.
