Keolis Transit America has announced the appointment of Ryan Adams to the role of senior vice president of strategic development, with overall responsibility for the company’s business development activity and performance management systems.
For the past three years, Adams had served as the company’s vice president of strategy and corporate development, overseeing efficiency reviews, special projects, and developing the company’s business intelligence platform.
“Ryan Adams has a strong understanding of our industry and a clear vision for the future growth of our company and I am pleased that he has taken on this critically important role,” said Steve Shaw, president and CEO of Keolis Transit America.
Adams’ transit career began as an intern with transportation companies in both the U.S. and Spain. After graduating from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a degree in Business, he served in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ forensic services group as well as Vail Resorts’ Internal Audit department before returning to the transit industry in 2010, shifting his focus to strategy and development roles.
Adams is a graduate of Leadership APTA’s Class of 2015, the industry’s premier leadership development program, and was named to Mass Transit Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40” in 2015.
