APTA Recognizes the Jacksonville Transportation Authority as the Best Mid-Size Transit System in North America

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) accepted the 2016 “Outstanding Public Transportation System Achievement Award” from the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) at their 2016 Annual Meeting in Los Angeles.
The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) accepted the 2016 “Outstanding Public Transportation System Achievement Award” from the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) at their 2016 Annual Meeting in Los Angeles on September 13. JTA won in the mid-size category, for systems providing more than 4 million, but fewer than 20 million annual passenger trips.
“Congratulations to the Jacksonville Transportation Authority for proudly representing the State of Florida and receiving the 2016 Outstanding Public Transportation System Achievement Award,” said Florida Governor Rick Scott. “Transportation projects are crucial to growing our economy and creating new jobs for Florida families."
