VVTA's Vanpool Program Expands Providers and Benefits
Victor Valley Transit Authority’s Vanpool Program recently launched partnerships with two new providers and enhanced its suite of benefits for commuters and participating employers. VVTA now works with Green Commuter and Airport Van Rental (AVR) Vanpool, as well as Enterprise Rideshare, offers a $500 subsidy for vanpool drivers, and saves commuters as much as $400 per month.
Green Commuter is an all-electric vanpool provider based in California with a commitment to using the latest technology to “make a greater environmental impact” while meeting transportation needs. It offers vanpool participants the chance to experience the luxury of the Tesla Model X. The Model X offers an industry-leading 295-mile range and can recharge for a range of as many as 170 miles in just 30 minutes.
AVR Vanpool is the commuter arm of its larger namesake parent company, the nation’s largest rental van provider. Its customers experience the difference of flexible preventative maintenance, competitive pricing, and outstanding customer service. AVR Vanpool understands that time is money and strives to save its customers both by offering benefits like onsite repairs. Dedicated account managers work closely with customers to address questions, needs, and concerns as quickly as possible.
Ridesharing with the VVTA Vanpool Program is more advantageous than ever. VVTA estimates that California drivers spend, on average, $25 per day to drive to work alone – roughly $600 per month. By enrolling in its rideshare program, VVTA estimates the same drivers can save as much as $400 per month, and more than $5,000 per year.
VVTA’s Vanpool Program makes it easier for groups of five or more individuals to share the commute to and from work. More than 1,400 commuters share the ride from or to the High Desert communities of Hesperia, Victorville, Adelanto, Apple Valley, Barstow, and surrounding areas each day.
