With the changes, LA Metro is returning to pre-pandemic levels of bus service of about seven million service hours a year.

Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) is adding more frequent bus service to many of its lines starting Dec. 11. The agency is also making a few route changes to bus lines, primarily in San Pedro, Wilmington and Harbor City.

With the changes, LA Metro is returning to pre-pandemic levels of bus service of about seven million service hours a year. LA Metro added bus service back in June and October, and this change completes the full restoration of bus service as LA Metro hires many new bus operators.

As it did in June and October, LA Metro is adjusting some of its bus schedules to reflect traffic levels. These service updates will help LA Metro’s revamped NextGen bus system offer more frequent and convenient bus service for many riders, meaning riders will spend less time on their commutes.

LA Metro will be printing new timetables that will be available later this month on board buses and at LA Metro Customer Centers.
