Link Transit adds more services to its Blue Route and paratransit service

The Blue Route starts in downtown Burlington at Worth Street and will make new stops in Elon before continuing to Gibsonville; Link Transit has also added an additional hour of service to its fixed route and paratransit system.

Link Transit has added more services to its Blue Route and its complimentary paratransit service.

The Blue Route starts in downtown Burlington at Worth Street and will make new stops in Elon before continuing to Gibsonville. Blue Line destinations include the Burlington Amtrak Station, ALDI, Holly Hill Mall & Business Center, Food Lion, Elon University, Beth Schmidt Park, downtown Elon, downtown Gibsonville and Gibsonville Town Center. Buses operate every 90 minutes, Monday-Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Transfers from the Blue Line to other Link Transit lines available in downtown Burlington offer access to destinations such as Alamance Community College, Alamance County Government offices in Graham and two locations of the NCDMV.

Those with a disability who cannot board a Link Transit bus or access a Link Transit bus stop due to lack of sidewalks or an access path, can apply for door-to-door complementary paratransit service for travel within/to/from Elon, Burlington, Gibsonville, Alamance County Offices, Alamance Community College and between during the same hours as the bus route.

 Link Transit has also added an additional hour of service to its fixed route and paratransit system, Monday through Friday. The last trip will depart downtown Burlington at Worth Street at 8:05 p.m. and return by 9:30 p.m.
