PORTLAND, Ore. --
TriMet says they've fired a bus driver at the center of a sex abuse investigation.
A spokeswoman for the transit agency says Christopher Parker was fired for "violating the continuity of service provision of the Working Wage Agreement."
Parker, 53, was placed on unpaid leave after his May 3 arrest.
TriMet says that after a worker is absent without authorized leave for five days, their "continuity of service" is broken and they are subject to termination.
Portland police have accused Parker of sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl he met on a bus.
They say the abuse continued for more than a year and started when she was 14.
Parker is facing charges of sex abuse, online sexual corruption of a child and violation of a stalking order.
He had been a TriMet bus operator since 1981.
