OH: Metro RTA Opens First Public CNG Fueling, Electric Charging Station

Congressman and former Akron Mayor Tom Sawyer said at the grand opening of Akron Metro Regional Transit Authority's new compressed natural gas fueling and electric charging station, will help change what has always been a car state.

The new station, which is open to the public, includes two compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel pumps and one electric charging station, with two adapters to accommodate different plugs.

The new Metro station is expected to change the dynamics of mass transit, both for bus riders and some car owners.
