BAE Systems has named Regan Johnson as central regional sales manager for its HybriDrive hybrid electric propulsion system.
In this position, Johnson is responsible for HybriDrive series propulsion system sales in the central portion of the United States and Canada— consisting of 14 states (including Indiana, Oklahoma and Colorado) and three provinces, Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
The HybriDrive series propulsion system powers the world’s largest hybrid bus fleet and carries more than two million passengers every day. Buses equipped with HybriDrive series have traveled more than 300 million miles, prevented more than 280,000 tons of CO2 emissions and have saved more than 25 million gallons of diesel fuel. More than 3,500 systems have been ordered or delivered across North America and the U.K.
Johnson joined BAE Systems earlier this year. He previously served as powertrain project manager for Bus Coach International. Prior to that, Johnson worked as an original equipment manufacturer account manager for Allison Transmission. He started his career as product engineer with Allison Transmissions. He is based in Indianapolis, Ind.
