IndyGo recently named Jessica Mitchell as its new manager of communications. She will be a key member of the business development team, which handles IndyGo's marketing and advertising, community outreach, customer service, transit planning and bus scheduling.
In her new post, Mitchell will use her plus four years of experience in transit planning and communication experience to guide media relations efforts as well as execute various outreach and communication initiatives benefiting the organization's bus riders, community partners, employees and general public.
"Effective communication practices are vital to our success as we need to make sure that everyone in the community understands public transportation and the benefits it provides," said Samantha Cross, director of Business Development for IndyGo.
Before joining IndyGo, Mitchell worked for the South Bend Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO).
