IBI Group is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Bill Byrne. Byrne joins IBI Group with more than 30 years of transit and transportation planning and design experience. He will be responsible for developing IBI's transportation planning and design practice in the Rocky Mountain area and Texas.
Byrne has a long and distinguished career of civil engineering work with an emphasis on multimodal transportation planning, traffic engineering, parking studies and the conceptual design of transit facilities. Byrne brings extensive experience and a proven record of successful bus and rail transit planning and design projects, including system plans, major transportation corridor studies, National Environmental Policy Act compliance and development of intermodal terminals.
Since 1992, Byrne has specialized in transportation and alternative transportation system planning and design for the National Park Service. Byrne graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in civil engineering and has a master's degree from Stanford University. He is a registered professional engineer in Colorado, Montana, Florida and Massachusetts.
