VHB employees received top recognition for their achievements in the industry and community by ENR-New York and Institute of Transportation Engineers' Metropolitan Section of New York and New Jersey (ITE NY/NJ Met Section). Emmanuelle Humblet, LEED AP, a Project Manager with VHB's environmental group, was recognized as one of ENR-New York's Top 20 Under 40. Amir Rizavi, PE, a Senior Project Manager in VHB's transportation group, received the Young Professional of the Year Award from the ITE NY/NJ Met Section.

Emmanuelle Humblet, LEED AP, is a Project Manager with VHB's environmental group, specializing in sustainability planning for airports and institutions. Her work has led to the development of sustainability pilot programs funded by the Federal Aviation Administration and invitations to speak at conferences across the United States. Armed with a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) in environmental science and policy from Columbia University and an understanding of the dynamics of climate change and its associated impacts, she is able to assist airports and institutions in planning for long term sustainability. Emmanuelle was instrumental in opening VHB's Manhattan office.
Amir Rizavi, PE, is a Senior Project Manager experienced in the management and performance of traffic engineering services for planning, design, and development studies. He has worked on a wide range of projects in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, including road and bridge improvements, single- and mixed-use property developments, environmental impact statements, and transit/rail projects. Mr. Rizavi is the Communications Director for ITE's Transportation Consultants Council and the Professional Development Co-Chair for the ITE Metropolitan Section of NY/NJ.
