McMahon Associates Inc. Hires New Senior Project Manager, John R. Wichner, P.E.
McMahon Associates, Inc., a full-service transportation engineering and planning firm with nearly 36 years of service, announces the addition of John R. Wichner, P.E. as senior project manager to its Mid-Atlantic Traffic Engineering Department.
Wichner draws on over 12 years of professional experience with expertise in traffic engineering and transportation planning. With the addition of Wichner to McMahon's depth of senior professionals, the firm strategically embarks into the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania as a planned new market in order to continue to grow our transportation engineering services and serve our client needs.
Wichner's traffic engineering experience for private sector clients focuses on the transportation aspects (Transportation Impact Studies & Highway Occupancy Permits) of land development of educational facilities (universities/colleges, public school districts, private schools), residential communities, retail, office, health care and industrial developments, especially which help revitalize outdated or aging communities and act as economic drivers. His experience focuses on township and/or area-wide Transportation Impact Studies, signal analyses, parking studies, corridor studies, and land development reviews and has represented various municipalities in the Pocono region. Wichner is qualified as an expert witness in Transportation Engineering and has testified in over 40 municipalities throughout Pennsylvania.
Wichner is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a master's in Transportation Engineering from Villanova University. He is a professional engineer registered in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Virginia. Wichner currently serves on the Montgomery County Transportation Authority for a four-year term under an appointment by the County Commissioners. He previously served on the board of directors of the Partnership TMA (Montgomery County), and is affiliated with the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC), Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce (GLVCC), American Society of Highway Engineers, and Home Builders Association (HBA). John also spearheaded the Keystone Transportation Funding Coalition's Legislative Outreach Program in Lehigh County, Pa.
