The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Police announced the arrests of two suspects in the alleged attack of an MTA bus operator last week.
The arrests were made based on information received from the public, after photographs of the suspects were provided to the media.
MTA Police arrested Russell Thomas and Sabreena Clemons at their West Baltimore residence today. They are charged with first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, conspiracy to commit first and second degree assault and use of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.
At approximately 5:00 p.m. on December 6, 2012 Thomas and Clemons allegedly assaulted a bus operator while riding the 13 line in the 2900 block of North Avenue near the intersection of Poplar Grove Street.
The bus operator suffered numerous injuries as a result of the alleged assault. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment and released.
