Diane O'Keefe has been named vice president and Illinois area manager for Parsons Brinckerhoff. She will be based in the firm’s Chicago office.
O'Keefe comes to Parsons Brinckerhoff after a 30-year career with the Illinois Department of Transportation, most recently serving as deputy director of highways for region one, which consists of six counties, 265 municipalities and 100 townships. She was instrumental in overseeing such notable projects as the $975 million Dan Ryan Expressway reconstruction and the $450 million Kingery Highway expansion project. She previously served as region one's bureau chief of design and program development engineer.
O'Keefe holds a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University. She is a member of the Illinois Association of Highway Engineers, the American Public Works Association, and the Women's Transportation Seminar.
