Dewberry has recently hired David Agnello, PE, LEED AP BD+C, as associate. In his new role, Agnello will be responsible for managing civil and transportation services in the firm’s Boston office.
With more than 28 years of experience in planning, permitting, design, construction, construction management and design-build, Agnello’s portfolio includes road, bridges, rail, transit, air transportation, environmental, building, and wastewater projects in the public and private sectors.
Prior to joining Dewberry, Agnello worked for various Engineering News-Record Top 50-ranked firms in a quality assurance and operational role where he managed some of the largest transportation projects in New England. He also managed several projects for U.S. Department of Transportation agencies at the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center, using his expertise in technical analysis, policy analysis, transportation systems planning, and management.
Agnello holds bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering and architectural engineering technology from the Wentworth Institute of Technology. He is a master’s degree candidate in environmental engineering at Tufts University. Agnello is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, Massachusetts Society of Professional Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, Boston Society of Civil Engineers, American Council of Engineering Companies, Society of American Military Engineers, New England Railroad Club, and Women’s Transportation Seminar.
In 1999, Agnello won the Young Engineer of the Year award for the state of Massachusetts from the Massachusetts Society of Professional Engineers. He has also been published in Civil Engineering magazine.
