    Vincent Patterson has been named the new general manager of Durham Region Transit.

    Durham Region Transit (DRT)  has a newly appointed general manager.

    Vincent Patterson, a former consultant, originally with Booz, Allen, and former senior manager with OC Transpo in Ottawa, will be replacing Ted Galinis, who has been at the helm since 2006.

    The change occurs as the strategic vision for DRT takes on particular importance with the system enjoying high growth and BRT expansion.
