EAO Corp. has been recognized by Frost and Sullivan’s Manufacturing Executive and the Manufacturing Leadership Council as a recipient of two Manufacturing Leadership 100 Awards (ML100 Awards).
EAO’s North American subsidiary, EAO Corporation, has been selected for an Innovative Enterprise Award for outstanding work to expand its HMI Systems design and manufacturing capabilities, while Lance A. Scott, president of EAO Corporation, has been honored with an individual ML100 Manufacturing Entrepreneur Award for his leadership, impact, and influence on the industry.
Winners of ML100 Awards, which this year include Ford, IBM and GE, have distinguished themselves by embracing breakthrough innovation and enabling their companies to anticipate and respond to customers with unmatched agility.
“This year’s ML100 winners demonstrate to the world the vast amount of innovation that is taking place in manufacturing,” said David R. Brousell, global vice president and editorial director at Manufacturing Executive. “Whether it is in how manufacturers create more adaptive organizations, re-tool their cultures for greater collaboration, leverage advanced technologies such as cloud computing, or achieve higher productivity through greater operational efficiencies, the ML 100 class of 2013 represents the best in manufacturing. Congratulations to EAO Corporation for achieving the distinction of being named Manufacturing Entrepreneur and Innovative Enterprise this year.”
EAO employs a ‘mixed technologies HMI’ approach to accommodate specific end user requirements and provide innovative, reliable, and intuitive HMI solutions to customers in the machinery, public transportation, heavy duty vehicle and other market segments.
“Being honored alongside the top 100 world-class manufacturing companies and leaders is a huge achievement for EAO,” Scott said. “We're especially pleased that our efforts to develop a world-class HMI System manufacturing operation have been recognized by this prestigious independent panel.
“We noticed a gap in the marketplace for offering engineering design and consultative support to customers with unique HMI needs,” added Scott. “Our Expansion of HMI Systems project enabled us to develop the necessary engineering competence, industrial design, and local manufacturing capabilities to become an expert partner to our North American customers.”
EAO's team will be honored at a gala celebration during the annual Manufacturing Leadership Summit on May 15, in Palm Beach, Fla.
