CA: Silver Joins STV as Vice President in the Transportation and Infrastructure Division's Western Region
Aaron Silver, P.E., has joined STV's Transportation & Infrastructure Division's western region as a vice president.
In this role, he is responsible for operations and business development in the freight rail market sector in the western region of the U.S. which spans from Colorado to California. He is based in the firm's new office in Roseville, Calif.
Silver has more than 30 years of diversified management and engineering experience in both the public and private sectors, primarily in the rail and highway transportation field. His previous work includes serving as the project manager for the Colton Flyover, a rail-over-rail flyover project in Colton, Calif., and project manager and structural manager for the Sounder Commuter Rail projects in Seattle.
Silver earned a master's degree in structural engineering from the University of Idaho and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and transportation from Purdue University. He is a registered professional engineer in California, Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Washington. In addition, he is a member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association (AREMA).
