The Intermodal Transportation Institute (ITI) at the University of Denver recently graduated its tenth cohort of transportation management professionals from its prestigious master of science in Intermodal Transportation Management degree program.
Nearly 100 graduating students and their families attended the recent graduation reception and hooding ceremony, where they heard comments made by the program’s Acting Dean Michael McGuire, and graduating students.
The students recognized the faculty for their expertise, knowledge, and assistance throughout their coursework, and noted the impact their coursework had had on their broader understanding of the industry and on their careers. They also emphasized the value of new friendships with individuals from different transportation sectors and/or modes that were solidified during their six quarters of study and travel. In addition to building the foundations for collaborative working relationships in the future, the bonds formed among cohort members often help students remain focused on completing their academic program even when personal or professional crises intervene.
Eugene Seroka, president, Americas, APL Ltd., and current ITI board member, also addressed the students.
